Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival
This is a family friendly event that is held every year and brings together an impressive line-up of thousands of classic cars never seen anywhere else. On average it showcases up to 4000 classic cars every year. It has a section for kids where they can take part in bouncing castles games and face painting. Revellers are allowed to vote for their favourite as they watch dangerous stunts performed by drivers as well as watch them being dropped from dizzying height by cranes to showcase their strength. The event is usually so big and attracts more than 25,000 people, which means a lot of brands use the event to promote their own products.
Caffeine and Classics
As the name suggests this is a show that features a lot of coffee drinking and classics. People converge on the last Sunday of every month at Smales Farm Business Park in Takapuna to showcase their classics and go head to head with each other on the racetrack as well as voting for the best car in the whole event.
Chrome ‘n Custom
Hosted by Tararua Rodders where classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles are showcased as well as races. It is a family friendly event although they do charge an entrance fee. It starts at 10 am and ends at 4pm after the awards have been dished out to the winners
